Hekether Privacy

Short and honest: Hekether does not collect data about you. Everything you do in the app (grimoire entries, dreams, readings, profiles, rituals) stays on your device. No servers, no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no third-party tracking SDKs.

What we do not collect

• No email, no name, no account
• No device ID, no advertising ID (IDFA)
• No usage statistics, no crash reporting, no analytics
• No grimoire, dream, or ritual content
• No photos, audio recordings, or location data
• No health data, even when you connect HealthKit

What stays on your device

All entries, settings, and language choices live in a local database on your iPhone/iPad. The app keeps its data out of your device's backup. Only if you switch on “Backup” in the settings and confirm does your device include it, for example in your Apple iCloud Backup. We have no access. If you delete the app, the data is gone (that's why there are PDF and Annual Book exports for manual keepsakes).

iOS permissions: when and why

• Photos: only through the system photo picker, when you add a picture to a grimoire entry or an ancestor yourself. The app sees only the picture you chose. It does not use the camera.
• Microphone: only for voice and dream notes you start yourself. Recordings stay local.
• HealthKit (optional): if you grant access, the app reads sleep duration and mindful minutes to correlate them with moon phases. Read-only, nothing is written back, nothing leaves the device.
• Notifications: for sabbat, full moon, and new moon reminders. Scheduled locally, never via servers.
• Location: only if you choose to set planetary hours to your coordinates. Never in the background.

This website

hekether.com is a static site without cookies, without tracking, without embedded third-party fonts or scripts. Moon phases and the Wheel of the Year are calculated by your own browser, nothing is sent to us for that. The site is delivered through Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). Like any web server, the provider processes technically necessary connection data such as your IP address in order to deliver the page and fend off attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We ourselves do not analyse any visits.

Purchases (Hekether Pro)

Hekether Pro, whether as a yearly subscription or a one-time purchase, goes through Apple's StoreKit. Apple handles the transaction; we only see the anonymous status ("purchased" / "not purchased"), no name, no payment details. Apple's handling of purchases is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.

Children

Hekether is intended for people aged 16 and above (shadow work, crisis topics, personal responsibility). We collect no data about users, regardless of age.

Third parties

None. Hekether sends no data to external servers. No ad, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs. The app works fully in airplane mode.

Changes to this notice

If anything changes, we update this page. Last updated: 17 September 2026.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because the app works without a server and we store no personal data about you, most of these rights have nothing to bite on here: your data is yours alone to begin with.
